Gamespy has and article up on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and how it won’t block Xbox Live Party Chat like Modern Warfare 2 does. I know there were a group of people that cheered the move by Infinity Ward as stopping cheating. Frankly never saw Party Chat cheating as an issue and I love taunting my friends when they are on the other team. Well I’m glad to see that another game is giving players a different choice.
I blog about video games, hardware and whatever else I happen to feel like blogging about. I also happen to like drinking Coffee and eating some Chocolate while I'm at it.

Intel Larabee silicon won’t be coming
According to this CNET article while Intel has not outright killed Larabee and will be releasing a SKD for Larabee sometime next year, there is no word if or when actual silicon will be released.
Larabee was Intel’s take on creating a GPU with functional units based on a modified x86 core with a vector unit attached for doing graphics and other FPU intensive applications. On paper the architecture looked interesting, but Intel has had problems with the design and prototypes did not perform up to expectation.
It looks like the traditional more specialized GPUs with processing units that support some more general purpose computing are the winners for now.
